The Tibetan Rope incense in a sandalwood scent embodies inner peace and emotional stability.

Sandalwood has long been used to ease feelings of anxiety. It soothes restless thoughts and brings calm to both body and spirit.

The incense is handmade from a special paper and natural powdered incense. One rope is lit at a time.

About Tibetan Rope Incense

Tibetan Rope incense is a traditional form of incense originating from Tibet and Nepal, where Buddhists and Hindus have been using it as part of their spiritual practice for centuries.

Tibetan Rope is made from rice paper cut into thin strips, onto which powdered incense is placed before the strips are rolled into a "rope". It is an extraordinarily precise and delicate process, carried out by the women of local villages.

The rope is regularly used as incense in temples as an offering to the divine and during meditation. The incense is intended for cleansing the space and oneself.

Buddhists also believe that incense which burns all the way down teaches and invites us to burn away our negative qualities along with it, leaving behind only ash. Through this practice, we reveal our true "SELF".

Today, Tibetan Rope incense is used as a tool for deepening presence during meditation and as an aid to relaxation. In the company of these beautiful scents, you will undoubtedly enter a new and better world.

Product properties

  • Handmade Tibetan Rope incense from Nepal.
  • Made by the local villagers.
  • One rope burns for approximately 15 minutes.

Instructions for use

Tibetan Rope incense is, in principle, intended for single use. Light the thin end of the rope slowly using a match or over a candle flame.

Once it has caught well, place the incense in a fireproof bowl and allow it to burn gently and slowly. The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes, depending on the length of the rope.

If you wish to extinguish the rope early, we recommend gently rolling the burning end along the bottom of the bowl until it goes out. The Tibetan Rope will then be ready for use again.
