Jasper is one of those minerals that appears in numerous colors and varieties. It's a type of quartz and/or chalcedony combined with other mineral phases.

Ocean Jasper is also known as "Orbicular Jasper." It's one of the rarer forms of Jasper, characterized by circular patterns and expressing itself in brown, green, blue, yellow, white, pink, red, or gray colors.

This mineral was first mentioned in 1922, but the location of its source was never found due to difficult accessibility. So far, Ocean Jasper has only been discovered in one location, and mining was only possible during low tide.

Since 2006, this stone is no longer being mined as the deposit has been exhausted.
