Humanity has been using incense in various forms for thousands of years. The Egyptians, for example, would shape resin and a few other ingredients into small balls and use them as incense. Their purpose was both pragmatic (scenting the surroundings) and spiritual (as an offering to the gods and a way of driving out negative energy).

Since then, incense has gone on quite a journey — undergoing a complete transformation in form, function, and fragrance. It is precisely this journey, this spirit of discovery and human curiosity, that has brought us the wonderful world of incense in all its shapes and intentions, ready for us to enjoy today.

One such form of incense is the scented cone, developed in Japan around 1800. It is made from natural incense powders blended with water and resin.

We reach for scented cones when we want to disconnect from the world, from exhausting days and endless distractions, and spend a few quiet moments with ourselves. They are wonderful to use during meditation, or simply whenever we feel like inviting calm and a touch of mystery into our lives.

They fill the space with a lovely fragrance, so we can also use them when expecting guests, or simply whenever we want to wrap our home in beautiful scents from across the spectrum.

Product Properties:

• The cones are handmade in India from natural ingredients,
• Each pack contains 20 cones in 5 different scents (4 cones per scent),
• Each individual cone stands approximately 20–25 mm tall and burns for approximately 10–15 minutes.

NOTE: As the cone burns, it releases essential oils, so we recommend using a fireproof bowl or a stand you don't mind marking. Traces of these essential oils will remain on the stand, but they can be partially cleaned off with water.

Instructions for Use

Place the cone flat-side down on a fireproof stand or in a small bowl.

Slowly light the tip of the cone with a match or lighter, wait for the flame to spread a little, then gently blow it out.
