Amethyst is a beautiful purple variety of the widely beloved Quartz crystal. Its violet colour forms through natural irradiation, traces of iron and titanium, or the presence of other elements.

Its name derives from the Greek αμεθυστoς (amethystos). The ancient Greeks believed the stone protected its wearer from intoxication when drinking wine. Today, of course, we use it for entirely different purposes.

Amethyst Cluster shares the same metaphysical properties as Amethyst, with the distinction that many people use it for group meditation, drawn to the energy of the crystal formation as a whole.

"Black Phantom Amethyst" is a special variety of amethyst from Brazil and a completely new find. It contains dark inclusions that appear as particles within the amethyst, often taking the form of "phantoms".
