Aragonite is a carbonate mineral that forms under extremely specific conditions. It is most commonly found near thermal springs where temperatures exceed 30°C, as it prefers warm waters with lower sulfate content.

The crystal was first named in 1797 after the town of Molina de Aragón in Spain, which was one of the main discovery sites of this crystal.

It comes in various colors, from purple, white, yellow, and brown - our specimens are deep red in color.
