CRYSTAL ENCYCLOPEDIA

Everything you need to know about crystals, in one place.

I've put together the Crystal Encyclopedia for you — revealing how crystals are formed, where they come from, how people have used them throughout millennia, and how to choose the one that's right for you.

WHAT AWAITS YOU IN THE BOOK?

Did you know that the oldest known crystal pendant is 30,000 years old and made of quartz? Or that the Greek word for crystal means ice, because ancient writers believed that mountain quartz was ice so deeply frozen it could never melt again.

And did you know that the mechanical quartz watch on your wrist works because quartz, under an electrical signal, vibrates at a precise frequency of 32,768 oscillations per second?

I've gathered all my knowledge here for you — from the history of crystals, to the properties of 58 different crystals, their hardness, which chakra and zodiac sign tradition associates them with, and what the practice we share with our customers every day has to say about them.

WHO AM I?

I'm Mojca, owner of Your Soul Time — a specialised crystal and incense shop that has been around since 2020. In Ljubljana you'll also find our very own treasure trove, our brick-and-mortar store, where you can discover the beautiful world of crystals and incense.

This book is the result of my love for crystals, a love that grows stronger every day.

FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT CRYSTALS

If you're just starting to get curious about crystals, this book will make your first step a little easier. You'll understand why some crystals cost five euros and others five hundred, and how to recognise the one that's right for you.

If you already have crystals at home, you'll find information in the book about our pieces that you perhaps haven't had gathered in one place before. The geology, the origin, the tradition — all of it together. And a few stories that might just surprise you.
